시다: ‘견습공’을 뜻하는 속어.
이 책은 2021년부터 2023년까지 이루어진 공장, 지역, 여공, 노동 등에 관련한 연구(인터뷰, 연극, 전시 등) 과정을 전체적으로 다루면서 3개년 연구 및 실행의 막을 내리고, 후속 연구를 위한 문헌으로서 남겨보고자 제작되었다. 주요 연구 대상 중 하나인 전남방직의 방직기가 작동할 때 가로와 세로 실이 교차하며 하나의 직물이 생산되는 것을 모티브로 책 전반에 가로와 세로선 그래픽을 활용하여 디자인되었다.

This book serves as a comprehensive documentation of research conducted between 2021 and 2023, exploring various aspects such as factories, regional dynamics, female labor, and broader labor issues. It aims to facilitate future research endeavors. The design, featuring horizontal and vertical lines, is inspired by the weaving process of Jeonnam Bangjik, symbolizing the research’s core theme.
